Medefile International, Inc. is focused on developing technologies and services that assist clients with the collection, management, and distribution of key health data including medical records and images. The Company’s proprietary system gathers and digitalizes medical records so that anyone can have comprehensive records of all their medical visits. The Medifile system provides easy access to medical records to those who need it such as patients and healthcare providers.
The Company was founded by an entrepreneur as well as a group of registered medical records specialists, physicians, and technologists. The motivated team is a great asset to Medefile as it is comprised of individuals who bring innovative vision, business acumen, and a vast knowledge of the medical field. The President and CEO, Milton Hauser, brings years of experience in the field of marketing as he has created and executed a number of high profile national campaigns and programs for companies such as Panasonic, Sanyo, Avon, Lederle International as well as other Fortune 500 companies.
Medefile’s system revolutionizes the healthcare delivery process. Previously, patients have been viewed as only passive participants, but through Medefile’s system, they can now take more responsibility for their healthcare and make decisions regarding treatment. The Company also enables doctors and registered medical records specialists to easily see detailed information on a patient’s complete medical history.
As part of the MedeFile service, each member is provided with a MedeDrive, an external USB drive that contains all of the member’s emergency medical information and medical records as well as an overview of the member’s and his or her family’s medical history. Harnessing the ease and availability of the Internet, MedeFile users can also instantly access their information from anywhere in the world. |

MedeFile International, Inc. (MDFI.OB) Provides a Host of Services to Help Clients Maintain Their Medical Records and Health
MedeFile International, Inc. (MDFI.OB) is a healthcare technology and services organization specializing in the development of systems to assist clients in the collection and management of key health information, including medical records and images. MedeFile’s line of products streamline a client’s ability to keep medical records available to healthcare providers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
MedeDrive™ is a specially designed Flash Drive that holds an entire medical history and highlights medical data essential in emergency situations. The drive is protected via a Username-password combination and can easily be plugged into a USB port of any PC. The MedeDrive fits the needs of clients who feel more secure carrying their records with them.
MedeVault™ is an online storage system that holds an individual’s entire medical history for access in any part of the world. The records can be sorted in a number of methods: by date, by physician, by hospital, or even by record type. The secure online system can only be accessed by the client or anyone a client designates. The MedeVault™ system fits those clients who travel extensively and cannot carry their records with them.
MedeMobile™ provides a user with the ability to securely access and fax medical records and emergency medical data directly from an Internet-enabled cell phone, SmartPhone, or PDA. This MedeMobile™ system provides clients with the power to access their records without the need of a computer.
To ensure the completeness of its client files, MedeFile has a Record Collection team that contacts doctors for individuals. The team then digitizes and indexes the records into a user-friendly format. A Medication Log with all medication, dosages, and current conditions being treated is available to provide a current running record of a client’s prescriptions, which is essential in evaluating client’s health, especially if used in conjunction with the Lifestyle Tools. The MedeFile Healthy Lifestyle tools allow a client to track and chart daily health measurements, such as blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and cholesterol.
Another sector where MedeFile provides assistance is its reminder services, which is essential for those clients that have a busy schedule or those who have multiple health issues. In the Healthcare Calendar, a client enters their doctor appointments, medication schedules, and prescription refill dates and an automated email reminder will be sent as specific dates approach. MedeMinder™ is a system where a MedeFile representative will call a client day or night with a reminder to take medication or keep an appointment.
Americans continue to travel, even in this age of higher fuel prices. Baby boomers continue to live an active lifestyle and travel throughout the United States. Professionals and consultants continue to meet with their clients on-location. Young adults continue to venture away from home to attend colleges and universities. There are a vast number of reasons why people travel and MedeFile’s extensive line of services will allow these people to have one less worry when they are away from home.

MedeFile International, Inc. (MDFI.OB) - A Medical Technology Whose Time has Finally Come
Imagine for a minute that you are driving one of the late-model, high end cars, and you are far, far from home. Your dashboard light comes on suggesting that you need someone to take a look at the emissions control devices, so you take it to the nearest local dealership. Once there, the technician hooks up a computer junction to a plug under the steering wheel. In a matter of seconds, everything that’s ever been done to that car, along with its “vital signs,” is displayed. All the oil changes, all the filter changes, all the replacement parts, the poorly firing 3rd cylinder before the spark plug change. Everything. Yet, until now, that very same “nationwide” monitoring ability wasn’t available for the most intricate machine on earth; the human body.
Each day, regardless of the time of day or the location on the planet, some hospital, dentist or doctor’s office is creating patient records. From blood pressures to medicines given, from x-rays to tests ordered. Yet, almost unbelievably, there’s been no consumer-oriented way of keeping track of all this data. Worse, there’s been no cohesive manner for one doctor or hospital to see any histories created by earlier doctors and specialists. Most of the software created for the healthcare business revolves around the caregiver and is focused more on billing, insurances, etc. Almost none have been created to give a consumer a timeline-based logarithm of their medical history. But now all that’s changed, and it could not have come a day too soon.
MedeFile International, Inc., which trades under the symbol MDFI, has developed a proprietary membership system for gathering and digitizing medical records so that individuals can have a secure and comprehensive record of all of their medical visits. Regardless of the records’ form, they digitize them, index them, encrypt them and put them into the “MedeVault”, a highly secure, encrypted and confidential digital storage repository which is the heart of the MedeFile System. Those records then become instantly accessible to the member. But that’s just the technical side of it. It’s the functionality that makes this so stunning.
Members may access their records online, then have them sent anywhere they please or download them to their “MedeDrive,” a patent-pending, USB device that members can use to carry their medical records with them at all times. Access to the information within a member’s account is determined solely by them — they may grant or rescind access to anyone they wish, or keep it entirely to themselves. With this system, the possibilities are virtually endless. Rounding out the MedeVault and the MedeDrive is the MedeMobile. This technology enables the user to access, fax, and distribute their medical information from anywhere at any time, simply by using an Internet-capable cell phone or PDA device.
If our cars are able to tell mechanics what’s been done to them no matter where the car travels, it stands to reason that we should have the same capability, and now we do. As the population becomes more and more aware of the need to take more control of their own healthcare, the demand for such an asset to personal healthcare will grow, and MedeFile stands ready to meet the demand. This is truly a system whose time has come.

MedeFile International, Inc. (MDFI.OB) - Helping to Lower the Cost of Medical Care
One of the biggest expenses to the consumer, and to business as a whole, is healthcare. With an aging population, and skyrocketing costs, business is struggling to provide healthcare to its employees, and consumers are feeling the pinch through higher co-pays and reduced services. According to the Health Services Alliance, medical costs are rising 8 to 12% per year, with no end in sight, leaving cash strapped consumers in a bind.
Yet MedeFile International, Inc. (trading under the symbol MDFI) has a series of products that can bring down a significant portion of these expenses. It’s called the Medefile system. MedeFile is a proprietary system for gathering and digitizing medical records so that individuals can have a complete and comprehensive record of all their medical history. Then, by securely controlling who is allowed to view these records, a member to their service can present their healthcare professional a complete history of all their past tests, exams, x-rays, and results. Not only can they access these records securely and from virtually anywhere in the world, but this product is the first of its kind to focus on the consumer instead of the healthcare provider.
The implications for cost cutting and money savings are enormous. Each and every day, there is a test performed on someone who just had that very same test done recently enough to be valid. Because there’s been no cohesive and logical way for a consumer to keep track of all their tests, results, X-ray analysis, blood profiles, etc, doctors are forced to simply re-order the whole litany again. This is double testing, and although there are no exact figures available, Doctors at Human Health and Services said that “the costs of double testing run into the tens of millions per year”.
Imagine instead, a patient is sent to a specialist for a particular problem, and he brings along his “MedeDrive”, a patent-pending USB device that members can use to carry their medical records with them at all times. The patient hands the doctor the tiny drive unit, and - because there is no software to load and no installation of any kind - the self-contained program on the MedeDrive fires up instantly on the doctors PC, displaying the patient’s entire medical history, from tests run on blood work, to lipid levels, to heart and brain wave function, to the actual rendering of opinions by the previous healthcare provider. Instantly the doctor has a much more defined medical profile to work with, and also knows exactly what testing needs to be ordered. No more “shotgun” approaches.
This is even more evident in the ambulance and emergency room arena. Often healthcare professionals and first responders come upon accident victims that are unable to answer questions concerning their allergies or medicines they may be on. With a MedeFile membership, the emergency room personnel can access the generic “work up” page that simply lists blood types, allergies, known medical conditions etc., giving them important information necessary to properly treat their patient without actually allowing them to see any personal medical history the patient might not be willing to share. With MedeFile, the patient/member has total control over who sees what information.
It’s simply not a question of whether MedeFile Inc. will help medical providers give better healthcare to their patients that have a MedeFile membership. That’s a given, simply by virtue of allowing the doctor to see the entirety of a patient’s medical history in one cohesive, encompassing collection. But the added benefit of cutting down on “tens of millions” of dollars worth of double testing per year makes this a very attractive solution to a very old problem. Increasing healthcare efficiency and cutting costs at the same time? This is truly a technology that’s time has come, and not a moment too soon.

MedeFile International, Inc. (MDFI.OB) and Dr. Lorne Stitsky Host Grand Opening of Personal Choice Family Practice
MedeFile International (MDFI.OB) and Dr. Lorne Stitsky will host a two-day celebration to highlight the grand opening of Personal Choice Family Practice (PCFP), a new concierge family medical practice in Jupiter, Florida. Dr. Stitsky, known locally as the “House Call Doc”, will head the new practice.
Personal Choice Family Practice will be limited to only 400 patients, who will pay an annual membership fee to receive guaranteed personalized medical care. With a limited number of patients, Dr. Stitsky will have the ability to focus on meeting the health and wellness requirements of each patient. Dr. Stitsky founded the boutique medical office to ‘practice medicine the old fashioned way – but with a high tech twist.’ The Personal Choice patients will receive house calls, same day appointments, and extended office visits. Patients will also be able to utilize the MedeFile technology and have instant, easy access to their medical records.
The public is welcome to tour the new facility and meet Dr. Stitsky and his staff. MedeFile International representatives will also be on site to demonstrate the MedeFile System that the patients will be utilizing. The MedeFile System is an online storage system that is designed to gather all of a member’s medical records from doctors and hospitals into one readable file. A member’s medical file can be indexed by date, by physician, or by service, and can be accessed 24 hours a day from any computer or internet-enabled mobile device. For security reasons, the members provide MedeFile with a list of physicians and hospitals with authorization to access the records.
The official grand opening celebration of Personal Choice Family Practice will be held at The Bermudiana on May 2, from 8 A.M. to 9 P.M., and May 3, from 8:30 A.M. to noon in Jupiter, Florida.

MedeFile International, Inc. (MDFI.OB) - Accurate Record Keeping Will Help Save Lives
When the casual investor takes a first glance at MedeFile Inc. (trading under the symbol MDFI), the company’s “top three” services just sort of leap off the page. MedeFile International Inc. is a company specializing in electronic medical records and management solutions, but instead of solutions geared for the healthcare provider, such as insurance or billing software, these management solutions are designed for the consumer/patient.
From their “MedeVault,” a secure online storage location for medical records, to their “MedeDrive,” a patent pending USB device for carrying a person’s entire medical history, and finally “MedeMobile,” which allows secure access to these records from any cell-based phone or PDA in any area of the world, these three technologies make up the core functionality of MedeFile’s operations.
While this trio is nothing short of groundbreaking, and well overdue in this technological age, it’s their ancillary services that may prove to be the consumer’s most cherished possessions. Take, for example, their reminder service, “MedeMinder.” This system will track doctor’s appointments, prescription refill dates, medication schedules, testing facility appointments, and send automatic e-mail reminders as these dates approach. They will also have a representative call the member via phone to remind them to take a medication, or set up for an upcoming test. For the aged, or those with multiple medical issues, this is a lifesaver.
The American Medical Association has stated that one of the biggest problems the elderly face concerning their personal healthcare is their attention to their medicine schedule. Many times they find the elderly forget to take their medicines, or worse - thinking they forgot to take them - take a double dose. In fact, several hundred deaths per year are attributed to nothing more sinister than seniors taking too many double doses of their very own medicines.
MedeFile has created an end-to-end solution for medical record keeping that is the perfect “medicine” for an aging population. Investors with an eye for future growth need to keep their eye on this company as the aging baby boomer population clamors to take more control of their own healthcare. This is a company that has the “right stuff” for the right time.

MedeFile International Inc. (MDFI.OB) Provides Secure Internet Transaction without Compromising Privacy
MedeFile International Inc. (OTCBB: MDFI) offers security architecture that ensures the privacy and integrity of its services are not compromised. The company does this through proven, well-established security methodologies, providing multiple lines of defense with each line employing a distinct mechanism. The company has worked to establish security for network communications, authentication, access control and site security.
MedeFile uses network communications security, originally developed by Netscape Communications Corp., to prevent unauthorized disclosure of data. This ensures that all Internet connections between MedeFile and its users are secure.
The company’s members authenticate to the system with a user name and password that are changeable at any time. The web servers then authenticate the member’s browser in an SSL session using Secure Server, issued by Verisign Inc.
MedeFiile’s application security begins with web servers that process Internet transactions from clients who communicate over the authenticated SSL sessions. The company’s site physical security system contains a comprehensive set of physical and logical controls paired with a multi-layered, internal network. The company has set strict facility and development protocols to ensure the safety of physical access and site-wide restrictions on resource availability and control for all users, staff and support personnel.

MedeFile International has established a firm set of core values including innovation, quality, people, integrity, good health, simplicity, teamwork, and results, and does its best to follow them daily.
The MedeFile product is especially useful to people who want to actively participate in their health management. Personal Choice Family Practice Combines Personalized Care with MedeFile International (MDFI.OB) Technology
In recent news, MedeFile International, Inc. (MDFI.OB) has teamed up with Personal Choice Family Practice to provide patients with convenient management of their individual and family medical records. Personal Choice Family Practice was founded by Dr. Lorne S. Stitsky in Jupiter, Florida. Dr. Stitsky, who is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathy, is known locally as the “House Call Doc.” The new concierge medical practice’s main goal is “”putting the care back into health care — one house call at a time.”
To meet the practice’s objective, it will be limited to only 400 patients who will pay an annual membership for guaranteed personalized medical care. The limited number of patients will allow Dr. Stitsky to provide same-day extended office or home appointments that will focus on the specific health and wellness needs of each patient. At his previous practice in West Palm Beach, Florida, he provided care to over 30,000 patients. At that practice Dr. Stitsky would see at least 30 patients per day.
According to Dr. Stitsky, “In that fast-paced, time-constrained environment, ensuring the delivery of superior medical care with any level of consistency unfortunately proved challenging, if not altogether impossible. Moreover, the highly inefficient use of time and resources spent tracking down old medical records, insurance information, test results and critical clinical data from other care specialists who were also treating my patients proved both frustrating and costly.” Dr. Stitsky continued by saying, “I knew that there had to be a better way to address the gross administrative inefficiencies that currently plague the traditional healthcare system. The answer is MedeFile.”
MedeFile specializes in portable electronic medical records management system. The proprietary, patent-pending system gathers and digitizes records to enable users to maintain a comprehensive compilation of records to provide to physicians, dental professionals, or other specialists. MedeVault™ is MedeFile’s premier solution that is designed to gather all of its members’ actual medical records and create one comprehensive record. The solution allows its members to have access to the records 24 hours a day from any desktop, laptop, or hand-held web-enabled device. To maintain security, members provide MedeFile with a list of physicians and hospitals located anywhere in the word who have their authorization to access records.
Each MedeFile member is also given a MedeDrive, which is a specially designed Flash Drive that holds a member’s Emergency Medical Information along with the comprehensive medical records. The flash drive is inserted into any personal computer USB slot to view the records. No additional programs are needed as the MedeDrive has its own viewer. The flash drive can also be formatted to store Living Wills, DNR Order, Durable Powers of Attorney, Advanced Directives, and Healthcare Proxies.
Dr. Stitsky stated, “The peace of mind that MedeFile makes possible for my patients — and the convenience, ease of use and invaluable insight it provides me, can not be underestimated. It is proving to be wildly popular with my staff and patients, alike. Consequently, I have very little doubt that MedeFile’s revolutionary solution for archiving, managing, updating and providing access to my patients’ comprehensive medical records anywhere, anytime, will have the single largest impact on the success of my new practice.”
All patients at Personal Choice Family Practice are provided with a subscription to MedeFile Basic. Currently, more than 60 percent of the patients have elected to upgrade to the MedeFile Premium plan. The upgraded plan allows members access to MedeFile’s full product line and services, including Emergency Call Service, Interactive Health Calendar, Audit Trail, and Healthy Lifestyle Tools.
Milton Hauser, Chairman and CEO of MedeFile, stated, “Concierge Medicine represents an exciting new market opportunity for MedeFile, particularly given that it is entirely patient-centric.” Hauser added, “People who make their family’s health and wellness a priority in their lives are now demanding new medical care delivery models such as that offered by Personal Choice Family Practice. MedeFile is thrilled to be playing such an active role in helping Personal Choice take the lead in providing a compelling alternative to traditional medical care — one that focuses squarely on the patient.”

Indeed, there is nothing more important than your health, and the health of your family.

MedeFile, Inc. (MDFI.OB) - Endorsed By Hayes Laboratory
According to a recent announcement, MedeFile’s portable electronic medical record storage solutions’ cheering section just got a lot larger. The company signed a strategic marketing agreement with Hayes Clinical Laboratory, one of the largest independent testing facilities in Florida.
Each year, through its five South Florida locations, Hayes Labs administers full-service medical testing to over 180,000 patients. The majority of these recipients are referred by Hayes’ extensive client base of nearly 500 healthcare practitioners. Hayes has expressed its interest in the MedeFile system, hoping to combat testing redundancy, which can occur when accurate track of a patient’s record is not kept. This, of course, leads to financial strain on laboratories and patients alike. Hayes has agreed to offer MedeFile’s product to its patients, as well as actively encourage referring physicians to adopt the cost-cutting system.
Milton Hauser, Chairmain and CEO of MedeFile stated, “MedeFile is on a mission to educate the nation’s healthcare community on the fact that centralizing actual medical records with the patient is the key to achieving real, positive change to the U.S. healthcare delivery system. By winning the support of respected medical institutions and providers, such as Hayes Labs, we are succeeding in helping others to realize and appreciate the many important convenience, care-enhancing and cost-saving benefits made possible with the MedeFile solution.”

MedeFile International Inc. (MDFI.OB) On the Scene to Save Lives and Revamp Emergency Situations
MedeFile International Inc. (OTCBB: MDFI) is revolutionizing the properly earned negative stigma of emergency room waiting times. The company has designed a solution focused on the preparation and readiness of important medical information dire to timely and proper care.
MedeFile gathers and stores copies of a member’s medical records and consolidates them into an easily accessible digital format, available around the clock, 365 days a year from anywhere in the world. The information is transferred through a highly secured environment, maintaining the patients right to confidentiality.
Guy Lindauer, firefighter and paramedic, has dealt with fire and emergency medical services for nearly 20 years; having accurate information at his fingertips when needed is imperative to any emergency scene.
“Many times we arrive and patients are in bad or critical condition, they may be unconscious and if there aren’t any bystanders to give us any information it can really provide for a bad scene. With MedeFile, all we need is a computer and we can access this information to give you a base life history on a patient’s condition. They may have a cardiac condition that we may need to know about, they may have a previous trauma that we may need to know about; and as well as allergies. We carry many medications, over 30 medications and some of these medications patients may be allergic to, and that’s something that we really need to know about,” Lindauer stated in a MedeFile testimonial.
Brian Bernick, MD Obstetrics and Gynecology, a MedeFile member, witnessed firsthand the terrors of Hurricane Katrina’s aftermath and the “chaos” that came with each patient as he tried to determine their identities, allergies, doses or previous medical conditions. He suggests that having those patients’ files on hand could have maximized care and timeliness.
“Had those patients been subscribers to the MedeFile we would’ve been able to instantaneously maximize their care. I think this technology is applicable to any patient of any age whether it is a child keeping track of their medication, immunization history to the most elderly patient keeping track of their life long history of medications, surgeries, any medical history that they might have, and I think that this is an opportunity of a life time for a patient to be in charge and maintain their medical records,” Bernick stated.

MedeFile International Inc. (MDFI.OB) Receives Media Coverage from ZDNet.com
Medefile International Inc. received praise and was even referred to as a doctor’s “secret high-tech weapon” in a recent article published on ZDNet.com. The article was written by Dana Blankenhorn, a business journalist with thirty years experience. The article is based on a conversation with Dr. Lorne Stitsky, who runs a Personal Choice Family Practice in Juniper, Florida.
Dr. Stitsky’s practice currently services 200 patients, with the anticipation of an additional 200. Keeping medical records and histories for all of these patients might seem like a mighty task, but with the help of MedeFile, it is a breeze for Dr. Stitsky and he isn’t afraid to admit it. He has his patients take advantage of a small device called a Mededrive, which is a very secure USB memory stick that stores the full medical records of each patient. All of these individual memory sticks are stored securely on a larger remote hard drive, called the Medevault, which can save physicians hundreds of cubic feet of file storage.
Milt Hauser, the CEO of Cedar Knolls, New Jersey-based MedeFile insists that his technology is better than any sort of medical record storage system out on the market. The main advantage is the personal security that Medefile offers. Hauser further elaborated on this security by saying, “…if you try to access it three times with improper security it wipes out the drive. It’s got password and user-name protection. If you’re unconscious, someone can pop this into the laptop, and an emergency screen comes up which the EMS can access. It’s just the information they need to get you stable and transported. Go beyond that and it’s user name and password.”

MedeFile International Inc. (MDFI.OB) – A Source to Gain Full Picture of Patient’s Health
Today society is more mobile than ever before. Families no longer live in the same house for decades. Individuals no longer stay employed with the same company for 20 years. People now move when they are offered a better career opportunity. Organizing a move and starting a new job is stressful enough without having to think of all the paperwork that needs to be transferred. Becoming a member of MedeFile would take care of one key element wherever or whenever an individual or family transfers to a new location.
The MedeFile system provides users, hospitals, and physicians access to medical records 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Any authorized hospital or physician can have access to a member’s digital records. When starting with a new physician, patients must normally provide all former medical paperwork from a previous doctor and/or hospital, as well as arrange an initial consultation and verbally go through their medical history. If someone has no physical conditions, this can be done quite easily. For those who have had health issues, this can be a daunting task.
Dr. Steven Orshan provided the following example: “I saw a young woman this afternoon referred from a cardiologist for chest pain. In the middle of the examination she stated that she forgot to tell me that her echocardiogram in the cardiologist’s office showed elevation of the pressure in the arteries of her lung (an important point). Needless to say she did not have the report. I called the cardiologists office to fax me the information. A half hour later I received the electrocardiogram not the echocardiogram. I called back and they were closed.”
Physicians know the benefits of having access to a patient’s complete medical history. Rather than spending time testing to narrow down issues in the patient’s past, MedeFile technology provides physicians with an immediate resource to understand a patient’s health status. The system allows physicians to invest time providing patients with the best care possible.

Tragic International Story Shows Need for Companies Like MedeFile International Inc. (MDFI.OB)
An article recently published by ABC News tells the story of an elderly couple, Don and Marlene Bryce, who took a cruise to the Mediterranean aboard a Holland America vessel. Unfortunately, tragedy struck on what was supposed to be the vacation of a lifetime, celebrating Don’s retirement.
According to the ship’s records, Don became ill a little over a week into the trip. After several calls to the onboard physician, Marlene reported no improvement in her husband’s condition. Four days later, on the floor of their cabin, Don Bryce passed away from a massive heart attack.
While it has been ruled that the staff aboard the ship acted in a manner consistent with professional medical procedure, Marlene Bryce is not certain that proper care was taken in the handling of Don’s situation. Mr. Bryce had a history of heart trouble, and the wait-and-see approach that was adopted by medical personnel, she feels, ultimately cost her husband his life.
MedeFile offers individuals the ability to carry digital copies of a patient’s complete medical history; a technology which, in this particular case, could have saved a man from death and a family from inexplicable grief. In the article concerning Don Bryce’s passing, ABC News advises readers to carry a complete medical record at all times, especially when leaving the country.
MedeFile’s process allows you to feel safe in the knowledge that no matter how far from your home you might travel, attending physicians will be adequately aware of your personal history should you require treatment. It might not only be a good idea, but might just save your life.

MedeFile International Inc. (MDFI.OB) Offers Safer Alternative to Google Health
Google Health offers people the ability to organize their health records. However, many people are extremely skeptical of claims made by a company with a history of brushing security vulnerabilities under the rug. Do you really want to trust a huge corporation with the privacy of your personal medical data, especially when its integrity in that arena is continually in question? For most of us, the answer is no.
As if a relatively checkered past regarding security breaches was not enough, it has been pointed out that Google does not fall under the category of a “covered entity” according to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996. Congress instituted this act in order to safeguard health care access and portability, and to prevent health care fraud and abuse. Many people are concerned with the way Google has found a legal loophole to skirt around HIPAA-imposed regulations in the collection and retention of personal health information.
MedeFile boasts a medical record maintenance solution to which we can safely say yes. All of the company’s practices are HIPAA-compliant, and were developed by physicians with the patient in mind. Upon receipt of your records, the company certifies that they will be kept under strict lock-and-key, 100-percent secure from unauthorized access.
When it comes to your health, and that of your family, you simply cannot afford to roll the dice. MedeFile not only provides customers with a simple one-stop solution to suit individual needs, it provides them with peace of mind.

Medefile International, Inc. (MDFI.OB) Announces Alliance with Newark Fraternal Order of Police; Reports Enthusiastic Response
Medefile International, Inc. announced after the bell that it will provide every Newark Fraternal Order of Police (NFOP) member police officer, including those retired, with MedeFile Basic memberships which can be upgraded to MedeFile Premium memberships. Medefile has already enrolled nearly 1,000 police officers throughout the U.S., during its recent participation in National Police Week at Washington, D.C.
The president of NFOP, Derick Hatcher, stated, “Law enforcement is a very dangerous business, requiring police officers to place their lives at risk every single day. In the event of a medical emergency involving an officer - particularly one in which he or she may be unconscious or otherwise unable to communicate, having immediate access to critical medical insight about the officer could prove to be vital. Teaming with MedeFile will ensure that our member officers are never without their personal emergency medical information.”
Milton Hauser, CEO and president of Medefile, commented, “It is MedeFile’s opinion that having immediate access to personal medical records is just as important as carrying a firearm when it comes to providing enhanced security and protection for an officer. Consequently, our sales and marketing teams have been actively engaged in discussions and marketing initiatives targeting our nation’s law enforcement agencies, and our message is beginning to resonate throughout the country.”
Medefile stated that its mission is to revolutionize the healthcare industry and empower patients by providing a ‘one-stop-shop’ secure solution for acquisition, organization and management of all actual medical, dental and general health records and images, regardless of their origin or nature. By offering everyone efficient, secure, and cost-effective tools and services, Medefile works to eliminate unnecessary costs, redundancy in testing and treatment protocols, and the hassle usually accompanied with managing disordered ‘paper’ medical records and files.
