Really think about the fact that before TIVU hotels and resort really did not have a way to tap into the mind of their guest.

Before TIVU companies wasted time taking surveys that did not take in the full spectrum of their guest desires, but now they can gauge every consumer without wasted time and resources. Pretty smart.

As the technology develops, it will be fine-tuned. They will learn what works and doesn't work.

Goes to show TIVU needs a good patent for such a great product.

When you use the Internet and do searching, such as via Google, it's fairly easy for Google to build up a highly detailed picture of the viewer, because they know who the viewer is and exactly the type of sites they are looking for. It would be powerful to have that kind of detail associated with television viewing, perhaps by having the viewer log in to access the system.

That is a great example of Google protostars, that is exactly what TIVU is looking to do.

I wonder if outside vendors can pay the resort to air their commercials on the TIVUS system?

I was under the impression that, that is possible.

After all, that is what TiVUS has been working on for the past several months.

With nice success also, as they are able to show that the return on investment is there.

It's not inconceivable that a hotel-based system could request a login by customers if they want to access their own personal setup, which no doubt many people would. Once the system has a login, it could also in some cases possibly be used for additional data mining to build a stricter profile for targeted advertising, though I have no reason to believe it will actually come to this.

I also don’t think a login is needed because the TV will be connected to then through the room.

Well a login system will bring a sense of security to the viewer and make feel empowered.

That is a good point, it makes you feel like your information is in a safe spot.

A login simply adds a possible additional layer of identity, which could, in some cases, mean better targeting, if it pointed to additional data about the user. However, all of this would require permissions, and represents a major shift.
