TiVUS, Inc. (TIVU) Reports Early Success; Attracts Diverse Range of Advertisers

Today before the opening bell, TiVUS, Inc. announced it has been engaged by a wide-range of advertisers for utilization of the company’s proprietary high-definition (HD) internet-protocol television (IPTV) with ad-insertion, including restaurants, beauty & spa services, local attractions, shopping, and more.

“I am pleased by the response of local merchants who are now benefiting from increased exposure to thousands of new, ready-to-spend hotel guests every week,” stated Shiva Prakash, TiVUS’ chief executive officer. “Specifically, we are proud to have such prestigious local advertisers as Hard Rock Café® Philadelphia, Du Jour™ Catering, Breath3™ spa as well as local professional sports teams.

“As our first ad-revenues began last month at our inaugural Philadelphia IPTV with ad-insertion installation, I remain optimistic and still expect our system to be well-booked with advertisers and generating expected revenue by early in the second fiscal quarter.

“TiVUS is now focusing on both ad sales and attracting new hotel customers. We plan to continue to sign-up new advertisers in Philadelphia to soon bring our first IPTV with ad-insertion installation to full capacity,” Prakash concluded.

And it is picking up very rapidly, but we know this would take place when we first heard of this stock and what it had to offer.

The article says they are now focusing on both ad sales and attracting new hotel customers. It can be tough for a relatively small company to target two major focuses simultaneously, which is probably why we haven't heard much about new hotels recently.

New hotels are something that is difficult to market because people tend to go to well established hospitality companies when traveling. I know that my family always stays with a particular family of hotel and resorts. When you’re on vacation you don’t like to take chances.

I was referring to new accounts for TiVUS, and was glad to see that they were able to get back on track going after new contracts.

Oh I see. You are talking about not only using the Host Hotels market but opening new contracts with resorts like the Hilton brand.

Just listened to a song where the artist was expressing her fear of being watched and monitored every time she makes a purchase, funny when you think about it.

That has been a fear of people for centuries now and the thing is that this is exactly the case many times.

This is just the beginning, and one can only imagine where it might lead. But people could get used to it, and learn to actually prefer customized marketing.

I think that people in general have only heard or experienced the negative side to customized advertisement.

Remember that much customization will be "invisible" to the consumer. They may not have any specific or clear information that they are being tracked or profiled. They will simply notice that the ads they see are more relevant. For instance, when you go to sites such as Amazon, you often see "suggestions" popping up that are based upon your previous activities.

I think that maybe adding some data to input such as a survey will allow for a more satisfying experience.
