It's the people who have started at the ground level that sweat the details, because they know through hard won experience just how important those details are to individual consumers, and how getting the details right differentiates them in the marketplace.

I think they are continuing to build on that cap at a great rate and before long will be able to do even greater things and reach even more people

Getting the money to grow is always the challenge. Being publicly traded, of course, greatly helps in that push.

CitySide Tickets, Inc. (CIST.PK) CEO Accepts Invitation to Appear on MYOB Radio Show

CitySide Tickets, Inc., which owns and operates www.CitySidetickets.com, a nationwide event ticket purchasing venue that caters to a diverse selection of popular theater, music, and sporting events, this morning before the bell announced that CEO Michael DeAmicis was recently featured on the MYOB (Mind Your Own Business) Radio Show with longtime entrepreneurs Rick Brutti and Jeffrey Davis.

Broadcasting on Sunday mornings on WBNW 1120 in Needham, MA and live over the internet, the show provides advice, information and connections for entrepreneurs, service providers and established companies. A full recording of the March 28, 2010 edition of “Mind Your Own Business,” which featured Mr. DeAmicis as the first guest, can be found on the show’s website under the recordings section at http://www.myobtheradioshow.com.

Topics discussed on the show include CitySide’s entrance into the public markets, the company’s expansion plans for the future, the recent advertising campaign that aired on national cable news channels, including CNBC, CNN, MSNBC, Bloomberg and FOX News, negotiations currently taking place to expand to an additional Boston location, and the lucrative opportunities that exist within the ticket industry.

During the 15 minute interview, show hosts Rick Brutti and Jeffrey Davis questioned Mr. DeAmicis on the topic of acquisitions. Mr. DeAmicis stated, “I’m looking toward the future. I see a lot of hope in this whole industry. The ticket business is recession-proof. We’re taking it to the next level. We are in discussions on another location, which I can’t say too much about right now. But we’re in discussions with a major sporting venue.”

And take a look again at their website, www.CitySideTickets.com. It's certainly one of the most intuitive and easy to use ticket sites out there.

I did check out the website and I loved it not only is in informative but they also makes it so easy to go to the venue of your choice. They show that they are a force to reckoned with providing any ticket from NBA, NFL, to Nascar or concerts. I will ensure that I keep this in my favorite box especially with the upcoming Maxwell concert and who doesn't love Black Eyed Peas? Love it Love it all

Price and ease of use are the two things that customers look for. CitySide knows this and has been aggressive, but it's not easy to get yourself known in a sea of websites. The fact that they have grown as fast as they have, while at the same time actually improving their offerings, is the best investor promotion they have going for them.

Having only one NASCAR race in the northeast and knowing it is useless to get a ticket wonder what markup is.

In such a competitive market, they have to be careful about the numbers. After all, the CitySide site itself provides a platform for individual ticket holders to sell as well as buy. They are all about creating a marketplace. It's up to the market to decide the markup.

I did not notice they're refund policy has anyone looked into that? I love the amount of empowerment they give you with their site you have to the freedom to do just about anything during the ticket buy/ selling process.

The nice thing about the secondary ticket market is that, unlike eBay, they are dealing with essentially one product, event tickets. This makes it easier to integrate certain protections into the system to avoid fraud, etc. But I don't pretend to know what if anything they have in place right now.
