GTX Corp. (GTXO.OB) Accelerates Go-To-Market Strategy, Adds Technological Visionary and Former Apple CEO to the Team

GTX Corp. announced this week that it is accelerating its “go-to-market” strategy through product expansion and the addition of Dr. Gilbert Amelio of Alteon Capital Partners as a Strategic Advisor.

The number of people subscribing to wireless communication services has been increasing every year. In fact, the number of mobile handsets is projected to surpass four billion in 2011 according to Wireless Intelligence, the GSMA’s market intelligence unit. As this number continues to grow, so will the number of handsets that have GPS and positioning capability.

GTX Corp is implementing an aggressive plan to capitalize on this burgeoning opportunity by leveraging its intellectual property portfolio and product line with state-of-the-art Location Based Solutions. Continuing its strategy of building a team of premier strategic advisors, the company is bringing on Dr. Gilbert Amelio and George Lauro, Managing Partners of Alteon Capital Partners.

Dr. Amelio will advise GTX Corp on advancing in the GPS / PLS space. With the forthcoming launch of LOCi Mobile™ and the expansion of Code Amber News Service (CANS), two of the company’s new properties that leverage the mobile marketplace, Dr. Amelio will help guide the executive team through the process of deploying the new products into the market while continuing to assist the company in increasing its intellectual property portfolio and shareholder value.

“As GTX Corp approaches the tipping point of readiness in consumer adoption, I am enthusiastic about being a part of this next wave of consumer PLS applications. Allowing users to customize and personalize geo-location information opens up a tremendous marketplace,” stated Dr. Amelio. “This expanded capability should make 2-way GPS ubiquitous. GTX Corp’s ability to license a customizable platform will address the healthy and ramping demand for these applications. Now that the company has harnessed this unique technology, I welcome the opportunity to help steer GTX Corp during its passage from an early stage company to a corporation on the global stage.”

“2-way GPS in concurrence with the proliferation of four billion cell phones represents a seismic shift in the marketplace. Subscribers want to receive and interact spontaneously to life’s circumstances,” added Patrick Bertagna, CEO and President of GTX Corp. “As GTX continues to architect its platform we look forward to working with Dr. Gil Amelio who has continuously transformed the technologically complex into widely adopted user friendly formats.”

Dr. Amelio has more than 35 years of experience in cutting-edge technology. He was Chairman and CEO of Apple Computer, Inc., Group President of Rockwell International, Chairman, President, and CEO of National Semiconductor Corporation, and most recently Chairman and CEO of Jazz Technologies. He is also a former Director and Chairman of the Semiconductor Industry Association and since 1996 has been an advisor to the Malaysian Prime Minister and to the Malaysia Multimedia Super Corridor. Dr. Amelio is an IEEE Fellow, has been awarded 16 patents, and received his Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology. In addition to his role at Alteon Capital Partners and Sienna Ventures, Dr. Amelio sits on the Board of Director of AT&T and is an active member in the venture capital community.

It represents a new communication network, linking people in a new way. There are some concerning aspects to all of this to be sure, but I believe that will be ironed out.

GTX Corp. (GTXO.OB) Applies Global Positioning Technology to Everyday Life

The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite navigational system that was originally created by the U.S. Department of Defense. A network of eighteen satellites was initially launched into space with six allocated to three different orbital planes. Today, the system has 29 active satellites that create reference points, enabling geographical positions to be calculated within several meters of accuracy.

Business travelers can easily incorporate GTX Corp.’s GPS technology into their lives by incorporating the patent-pending hereIM™ software into a compatible smartphone. The software actually switches the smartphone from a one-way GPS receiver into a two-way receiver and transmitter. By enabling this function, businesses are able to pinpoint the user’s position. hereIM™ also enables navigation and mapping, as well as the ability to receive traffic and weather updates. Installing the GTX software onto a phone can also add an extra level of comfort to family when a loved one travels for a living.

Those who lead an active lifestyle can also easily benefit from the company’s technology. But being on a hiking trail, on the ski slopes, and in rivers can destroy even the hardiest of cell phones. The company’s GTX Wearable Caddy is a buoyant, waterproof, and shockproof device that is built to withstand the rigorous antics of sports enthusiasts. The caddy is made to be as light and unobtrusive as a carabiner, which most athletes use to secure water bottles to bags and backpacks.

GTX has a Personal Location Services (PLS) platform that syncs with its products 24/7. The system is able to provide real-time geographic coordinates on any of its devices, rendering locations on Google Maps via secure Internet connections. GTX continues to develop products that enable everyday people to add an extra level of security and functuality into their lives.

These applications could do a lot more than just save time, they could save lives. Children, or elderly, who are disoriented and lost can now be easily located. As the network expands, this technology could become as commonplace as the cell phone.

GTX Corp (GTXO.OB) Retains Alteon Capital Partners to Formalize Global Expansion Strategy

After years of planning and development, GTX Corp (GTXO.OB), a company that has created miniaturized GPS tracking and cellular location-transmitting technology platforms, is now in a position to get products into the hands of consumers. GTX has created 2-way Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Position Location Systems (PLS) that can be applied to customized products. The company recently announced that Alteon Capital Partners has been retained to advise GTX in the launch of its products.

With the addition of Alteon Capital Partners, GTX continues to follow its strategy to build a team of premier strategic advisors. Alteon specializes in advising clients on financing, transformation and repositioning, corporate development, and value recovery services. Estimates indicate that by 2011 there will be more than four billion mobile handsets worldwide. Dr. Gilbert Amelio, managing partner at Alteon, will take a lead role in advising the company on advancing its products into the GPS/PLS niche. Dr. Amelio will assist the executive team in formalizing a deployment strategy to increase its market share with the launch of its two newest products, LOCi Mobile and Code Amber News Service (CANS).

“2-way GPS in concurrence with the proliferation of four billion cell phones represents a seismic shift in the marketplace. Subscribers want to receive and interact spontaneously to life’s circumstances,” stated GTX CEO and President, Patrick Bertagna. “As GTX continues to architect its platform we look forward to working with Dr. Gil Amelio who has continuously transformed the technologically complex into widely adopted user friendly formats.”

Dr. Amelio brings over 35 years experience in the high technology sector. He earned his Ph.D. from Georgia Institute of Technology and has been awarded 16 patents. Dr. Amelio has held a number of executive level positions including Chairman and CEO of Apple Computer, Inc., Chairman, President and CEO of National Semiconductor Corporation, Group President of Rockwell International, and Chairman and CEO of Jazz Technologies. Along with being an active member of the venture capital community, Dr. Amelio currently sits on the Board of Directors of AT&T.

GTX Corp (GTXO.OB) Technology Will Help Find Lost or Injured Athletes

GTX Corp (GTXO.OB) is a pioneer developing new methods of utilizing GPS (Global Positioning System) technology. Some Americans have a GPS device on the dashboard of their vehicles to instruct them on how to get from point A to point B. Others touch a button and get assistance from a live customer service representative.

Athletes often train in the early morning and late evening. Hours upon hours can be spent away from home. GTX has developed a 2-way Personal Location Services (PLS) device durable enough to fit in the sole of a running shoe. All levels of runners and joggers can have an extra layer of peace of mind as they log miles on the road or on the trails. If a runner does not make a rally time due to injury or being lost, a designated point person can easily find the athlete’s location through the imbedded 2-way PLS.

Not only can the device be used for safety needs, it can also be used to improve an athlete’s performance. Marathoners and tri-athletes can also use the device to track real-time performance times during races. To get the imbedded footwear out to the marketplace, GTX recently signed a five-year licensing agreement with My ATHLETE LLC that secures the competitive non-motorized athletic category of shoes.

The 2-way PLS device placed in running shoes shows the practical application of GTX’s first patent (US Patent Number 6788200). The company has thirteen additional patents pending approval. Five of the patents pending are at an advanced state and should be issued to GTX by the end of the year. The company will be submitting two additional patent applications in the near future. Rather than rely on one product, GTX is aggressively researching various areas to apply its 2-way GPS technology. With more than a dozen patents in process, GTX has positioned itself for unbridled growth.

This would be another security tool for regular people who go out jogging. How often have we heard stories of people who have not returned. People suffer an injury on a hiking trail, and are unable to call for assistance, perhaps unconscious. But someone who notices they haven't returned by a specific time can now track and rescue them. Or think of a child who gets kidnapped.

People are always looking for the lattest footware. I am interested if this would also target a younger generation also. There are so many times I see now, were the parents don't come home till latter, and the kids are out playing, or running prep. for a sport.

Younger children outgrow shoes so fast, that I expect it will require a serious drop in technology cost before the units go into little shoes. In the meantime, I suspect parents will be clipping tracking units onto little pants and shirts.

GTX Corp (GTXO.OB) Has Technology to Keep Those in Commercial Vehicles and Vessels Safer

Since it became fully operational in 1993, use of the Global Positioning System (GPS) continues to flourish. The GPS is a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) that was originally developed by the U.S. Department of Defense and is managed by the U.S. Air Force. The GPS is the only fully functional GNSS that can be used freely and companies like GTX Corp (GTXO.OB) are focused on utilizing the technology to better the lives of everyday citizens.

By now most everyday citizens have used GPS technology at one point or another to help them get to a destination. Other people, such as truck and taxi drivers, couriers, and repair personnel use GPS technology to get to different locations on a daily basis. GTX has put a spin on how to currently use the technology by allowing a 2-way GPS signal to filter through its devices.

The gpVector™ miniMT2 is a palm-sized device that provides real-time tracking ability that works on a quad-band platform that provides complete mobile tracking on up to 14 satellites for worldwide coverage. The miniMT2 has a motion sensor that puts the device into sleep-mode when the unit senses no movement after one minute, which extends battery life and power optimization. The device is also built with a panic button in the event that the user requires immediate assistance. The user’s precise location can be tracked on Google or Microsoft maps and forwarded to laptops, cell phones and PDAs.

The miniMT2 is only the first product of many that GTX is developing. As GTX continues to expand its product line, companies are turning to GTX to better manage their assets. The GTX devices also provide a level of safety to those on the roads and on the oceans. Consider the recent tragedy when a boat capsized in the rough waters of Florida. If the boat had a GTX device onboard, the crew could have pressed the panic button. The boat’s location could have easily been pinpointed and communicated to the Coast Guard rather than searching in the vastness of the ocean. Commercial fishing vessels, charter boats, and cruise ships can increase the survival of its crew and passengers by incorporating the GTX devices onto its vessels or even on its life-vests.

What kind of batteries would be used for such an imbedded product? The more deeply it's imbedded, the more important it is to have long-lasting or easily changed batteries.
