Temecula Ranchos was one of the largest Grapefruit producers in California. Roger is also President of Mahowell Services, a California Corporation. His responsibilities include due diligence and real estate acquisitions.
Director Kevin Weeks successfully founded his own multi-line insurance agency in the Chicago area in 1976. In 1990, Kevin stepped away from the agency’s daily operations and successfully completed a turnaround in the business that he was currently employed with. Five years later, Kevin relinquished management of that agency back to the corporation he currently supervises today. Mr. Weeks’ extensive background in corporate financial structure and financial planning will be a benefit to Thresher. He has been instrumental in obtaining new customers and shares enthusiasm for the company. |

Thresher Industries, Inc.’s (THRR.PK) Advantageous Nautilus Core System
Thresher Industries’ Nautilus Core System is a unique method of producing cores for use in aluminum and magnesium casting. The cores can be removed with very little effort via high pressure steam or water, is biodegradable and can be located in areas not viable for sand or foam core. Ongoing development of this process is anticipated to result in greater customer satisfaction and the ability to bring this technology to a price sensitive market place.
The core can withstand virtually any die cast process pressures and temperatures of up to 1380 degrees F. Having the appearance of a high quality ceramic, the core can be created with any surface finish desired and is dimensionally stable. The material used is environmentally friendly and can be easily reclaimed. Thresher Industries offers to either produce the cores and ship them to a customer’s facility or sign a licensing agreement and provide the necessary support equipment and staff to implement core production in their facility.
Thresher Industries’ Nautilus core system has been successfully used in products for Chevrolet, Chrysler, and Ford, and has proven its ability to meet the demands the golf industry in production of one piece driver heads using ThermaLite material. According to the company’s website, patents are currently being developed for both the process and equipment to produce them. |

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, white high powered LEDs can emit 150-200 lumens per watt, twice the efficacy of current fluorescent technologies and approximately 10 times that of traditional incandescent lighting. Industry experts believe LEDs will become the standard of lighting within the next several years because of their high energy efficiency and long-life. Thresher aims to advance the development of energy-efficient technologies such as LED lighting, which require superior heat dissipation during manufacturing.
Tom Flessner, President and CEO of Thresher Industries, Inc., stated, “Our entry into the heat sink industry positions us to capitalize on the tremendous growth of the LED market. According to Strategies Unlimited, the LED lighting market is forecasted to grow to $1.65 billion by 2012, making it one of the fastest growing segments in the LED industry. We are entering the data gathering and testing phase of our heat sinks. Ultimately, we plan to offer a fully developed and proven material to a wide range of industries that are seeking new technologies and renewable materials that can lower their carbon footprint and enhance product performance.”
According to the press release, the company is in discussions with California Polytechnic State University-San Louis Obispo’s Material Sciences Department to conduct testing and reporting material data on its heat sinks. Thresher’s product development efforts are focused on a low carbon footprint, highly thermal conductive heat sink with performance exceeding 6061 billet aluminum for use in LED lighting. Thresher anticipates expanding into much broader markets in the automotive, electronic and aerospace industries after its initial entry in the LED lighting industry. |

During the 15 minute interview, Mr. Flessner provides an overview of the company, its target market, competitive advantages, “green” initiatives, and commentary on the recent positive coverage received from Grass-Roots-Research. He also explained how the recently introduced Nautilus Core System benefits the company’s customers. Thresher Industries, Inc. is also growing in this troubled economy while others are slowing their production. Mr. Flessner explains, “In Central California, the unemployment rate is horrific. We’re creating jobs here.”
Mr. Flessner continues, “We’re a US-Based company – all our products and materials are sourced in the US. Most casting companies only focus on one thing, we can fully process parts for a wide variety of industries in numerous ways. Thresher Industries has materials and processes that only we have.
