In the ever-changing fast-paced world of Wall Street, everyone is scrapping for the new big stock. While the economy has been on a roller-coaster ride of late, there is one thing that no one can put a price on, that one thing is safety.

The young company Sector 10 has taken the business of safety to another level. Sector 10 is working to redefine the emergency response paradigm from centralized equipment staging to onsite pre-deployed resources. Sector 10 is the only emergency response systems company so strongly emphasizing pre-deployed resources as the way to save lives from injuries and reduce liability.

While Sector 10 has many innovative products, their new showcase item is the SRU-25. The SRU-25 is an affordable pre-deployed solution that includes a trauma kit, a first-aid kit, an evacuation chair and 25 smoke inhalation masks to go along with numerous other features. The SRU-25 provides customers the opportunity to provide safety and peace of mind for themselves and their loved ones in almost any crisis situation. The SRU-25 is just one of the many innovations Sector 10 has developed.

Leading the way at Sector 10 is Pericles DeAvila who serves as the company’s CEO and is the founder, inventor and the lead creative thinker at Sector 10. DeAvila is responsible for all strategic, financial and operational aspects of Sector 10 and its associated businesses. The Sector 10 leader has entrepreneurial experience nationally and internationally with his beginnings in the construction industry. He was a construction manager for 11 years on large projects in Silicon Valley and in Seattle -- including Safeco Field, the home of the Seattle Mariners.

While Sector 10 has achieved a great deal of success in the US, the company is looking to expand into the International Marketplace and has already started looking for partners abroad. With innovative products such as the SRU-25 and leaders like Pericles DeAvila guiding Sector 10 into the future, this company may be a hidden gem in both the National and International Marketplace.

Sector 10, Inc. (SECT.OB) Gains Traction with Sales and Marketing Leads

Earlier last month, Sector 10 announced that a San Jose, CA customer installed its MRU-OH products at one of its sites. According to the press release, the installation was a success and the customer has already ordered more MRU’s for immediate delivery.

Sector 10 also announced that the San Jose, CA customer received inquiries from other companies in the local area that saw the MRU’s in its facilities. This customer was so intrigued by all that the MRU’s have to offer that it has inquired about becoming a distributor of the products.

Standard product features of the MRU’s include: eyewash, potable water, hand-wash, postings panel, soap and cup dispenser, garbage refuse, water delivery and recovery systems, compartments for fall protection, electrical TAG programs, MSDS, and Safety Program folders, a foldout plan or command table, forklift and crane lift points, lockable wheels and many other features that help meet and mitigate OSHA, EPA, NIOSH and many other related occupational hazard requirements.

Meeting the mandates imposed on businesses by the Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other agencies is costly. Companies are pouring billions of dollars into getting their work environment safe, to comply with all the legal requirements mandated by Federal and local governments, and ultimately save people’s lives in their work environment.

Sector 10 Inc. (SECT.OB) Provides a Revolutionary Method for Securing Campuses and Protecting Students

Today before the opening bell, Sector 10 announced that is taking the initiative to change the entire dimension of safety in our school campuses. The company is initially placing two stationary response units with custom designed medical, lifesaving equipment in two college campuses. The amount of time saved by pre-deploying the equipment could easily mean the difference between life and death, as the life-saving equipment would normally have to be brought to the location by first response units

Pericles DeAvila, CEO of Sector 10 Inc, stated, “This project represents an entirely new paradigm in public safety, and as a parent, the fact that our first placements will be in two college campuses is extremely satisfying. We anticipate that other educational institutions will follow suit.”

Not only do the units contain gas masks, oxygen, iodine tablets, and other emergency medical supplies, but they also have the ability to transform into evacuation chairs. In addition, the units provide a patented means of telecommunication between the first responders and the college staff.

The Sector 10 unit even pays for itself by utilizing its high definition screen to project targeted advertisements to intended audiences. As an example, at a college location, a variety of businesses could advertise job opportunities, supplies needed for school, continuing educational institutions, and so forth.

Sector 10 is shifting the emergency response paradigm from centralized equipment staging to onsite pre-deployed resources. Currently, the company is the only company that focuses so strongly on pre-deployed resources as the way to save lives, avert injuries and reduce liability.

Sector 10 Inc. (SECT.OB) is Always First to Respond with Lifesaving Assistance

Did you know the expected emergency response time is 96 hours and high-rise fires cannot be fought above the 7th floor of an office building? These are among many other reasons why it is crucial to have pre-deployed solutions available in case of an emergency. Through the completion of a complex analysis of global disasters and the limitations of existing response systems, Sector 10 has developed revolutionary information technology, communication, crisis management, monitoring systems, and highly effective emergency response control units that bring first aid and safety to unparalleled standards.

Natural disasters, security breaches, and terrorist attacks have exposed the vulnerability existing in the way that the public and private sectors handle and respond to emergencies. Although technological advancements have improved efficiency and productivity, the security sector and the emergency response methods and systems have remained virtually unchanged for decades. With disastrous threats continuing to rise, Sector 10 has positioned themselves to revolutionize the emergency response industry.

When a catastrophe happens, such as a terrorist attack, many things happen quickly and simultaneously. Once panic erupts, people attempt to escape the scene of the attack, but at the same time police, fire and emergency medical units all attempt to enter the scene, creating terrible traffic and pedestrian crowd-control problems. This effect can be magnified by smoke and fire. While all this commotion takes place outside, precious lives often require immediate lifesaving assistance.

Although little can be done about the panic situation, disasters can be prepared for by installing Sector 10’s mobile response units. These systems provide first responders and building occupants with first aid supplies, life saving equipment, occupant tracking through a real-time 3D interface, and emergency communications that may mean the difference of survival.

Sector 10, Inc. (SECT.OB) Recognizes 400% Increase in Sales Over Prior Quarter

Today before the opening bell, Sector 10 announced that its 3rd quarter sales are anticipated to increase 400% over the 2nd quarter. This substantial increase in sales further improves the positive performance trends established over the past three months.

In recent news, the company recently agreed to provide pre-deployed emergency equipment and supplies to the administration and student buildings of a college located in Ogden, Utah. According to the press release, a number of other proposals are under consideration with other customers. The company is looking to expand its sales force and increase production capacity.

At the College, Sector 10 will be installing two SRU-M stationary response units that contain custom designed medical, life-saving equipment, which is normally brought by first response units after a tragedy has already taken place. Pre-deploying these units could easily mean the difference between life or death.

In addition to containing gas masks, oxygen, iodine tablets, and other emergency medical supplies, the SRU-M unit has a 42” high definition screen that can be used to project advertisements to a targeted audience, essentially paying for itself. The high definition screen could also be used for corporate branding, AMBER Alerts, public service announcements, venue directory services, and real-time evacuation instructions.

Sector 10, Inc. (SECT.OB) also offers Solutions to Hospital Emergency Response Personnel

It comes to little surprise that Hospital ER units and ambulances are vulnerable to contamination from chemicals, viruses, parasites, and other foreign items that threaten the sterilized environment of their operations. When these units are contaminated, they must be removed immediately for re-sterilization.

Promptly removing these units causes two major issues for the emergency service providers. First, there is a tremendous expense to re-sterilize the units. Second, removing these scarce emergency response resources from service without warning may jeopardize an emergency situation.

Sector 10’s mid-size MRU units include the equipment needed to safely decontaminate people and equipment before admitting them into an ambulance or a hospital ER unit. The units also provide the following customizable items: single person or multi-staged group tent with shower, heated water supply system, Contaminant capture system, port-a-potty, contaminate cleaning solution and various supplies for emergency personnel.

Since 9/11 many issues regarding emergency room contamination and cross-contamination have resulted in new federal mandates for decontamination procedures at hospitals across the nation. With quick setup time and the ability to handle a multitude of various emergencies, Sector 10’s MRU offers a cost-efficient solution to today’s new hospital mandates.

Sector 10, Inc. (SECT.OB) MRU Unit is the Perfect Solution for Construction Sites

Construction sites and industrial buildings must comply with the requirements set by several government agencies, including OSHA, EPA, etc. Issues of concern range from safety to emergency preparedness. Emergency warning systems and first aid supplies are usually in place, but these systems are incomplete and the locations are difficult to find. Because of the large amounts of chemicals and large machinery at industrial sites, there is considerable risk for injury and death.

Sector 10’s mid-sized MRU units were designed to conform to government agencies’ regulations and are customizable to respond to each risk event forecasted by the customer. Thanks to the size of the MRU, as well as the emergency strobe light located on top of the unit, it is easily visible to victims and professional support teams. Sector 10 provides the following separate models for many common safety and emergency response needs:

Industrial, Construction and Agricultural Safety and Hygiene
Spill-Decon Equipment
Emergency Response Equipment
Respiratory Response
Confined Space Recovery
Disaster Rescue Response
Clean Room Response
An MRU can be leased monthly for the cost equivalent of buying a 33 lb. box of screws. Purchasing an MRU inexpensively, effectively and quickly brings a work-site into daily OSHA and other regulatory compliance. It also provides a first response solution for injuries or disasters, and will saves lives while reducing personal financial exposure to site managers.

Sector 10, Inc. (SECT.OB) Is More than Prepared to Face Anticipated Biological Attack

Last month, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said the threat posed by weapons of mass destruction remains “the highest priority at the federal level.” Mr. Chertoff believes that more people, such as terrorists, will learn how to make dirty bombs, and biological and chemical weapons. “The other side is going to continue to learn more about doing things,” he stated.

Intelligence officials predict that in the next five years, terrorists will attempt to carry out a destructive biological attack. Officials are concerned about the possibility of infections to thousands of U.S. citizens. “The threat of terrorism and the threat of extremist ideologies has not abated,” Chertoff said in his year-end address. “This threat has not evaporated, and we can’t turn the page on it.”

Sector 10 offers deployed integrated emergency response systems as a way to save lives, avert injuries and reduce liability in the midst of a crisis. These systems provide first aid supplies, life saving equipment, and occupant tracking through a real-time 3D interface. The units, utilizing the Pericles Logix System, also deliver real time information, evacuation status, and communications.

The threat of disaster and terrorism will continue to grow stronger, increasing the demand for Sector 10’s products as businesses and governments around the world look for cost-effective solutions that will offer lifesaving assistance on-demand. Currently, Sector 10 is the only company that focuses so strongly on pre-deployed resources as the way to save lives, avert injuries and reduce liability.

Sector 10, Inc. (SECT.OB) Announces its Goals for Fiscal 2009/2010

This morning before the opening bell, Sector 10, Inc. announced its strategic goals for the fiscal year 2009/2010. The company’s focus will remain fixed on three main areas: General Administrative; Sales and Marketing; and Product Awareness. The purpose of these goals is to build the company’s sales infrastructure and inform the public about the invaluable capabilities of its products.

The primary goals are as follows:

(1) Mission: To develop products and services that bridge the gap that currently exists between the ability for an individual to sustain themselves and first responders’ ability to provide immediate life saving assistance in an emergency.

(2) Product: Enhance product capabilities to better address the needs of victims and first responders.

(3) Sales / Market: Grow sales channels for the SRU/MRU and install the PLX 3D Software in two major U.S. Markets.

(4) Capital: Obtain Growth Capital to fund the next major phase of growth and deliver its solutions to the Marketplace.

(5) Growth: Consider Acquisition Strategies or development of Strategic Alliances in pursuit of sales channels.

Founder and CEO Pericles DeAvila stated, “Our mission is to save lives by providing products to ‘Bridge the Survival Gap.’ The goals set forth above are attainable in the next fiscal year. Achieving these goals will strengthen the Company’s infrastructure and create a sales organization that will impact the Company’s sales opportunities for the next several years. With sales just beginning, customer interest has increased significantly. We look forward to the challenges of meeting this increased need by providing products and resources to save lives, avert injuries, reduce liability and to ‘Bridge the Survival Gap.”’

SECT CEO

Postby protostars » Thu Jan 22, 2009 6:41 pm

A key reason SECT has been able to identify a real need in the safety preparedness market is their CEO DeAvila's extensive experience in the construction industry. He has seen first hand the HUGE GAP that exists in public and private facilities between the available technology and its integrated application. Most business and housing facilities around the country are simply not prepared for emergencies, and never have been!. The highest tech thing most buildings have are fire doors and extinguishers. Once the marketing starts to take hold, there will be a rising storm of demand for what Sector 10 offers. Hopefully this will happen before the next big disaster.

Monitoring Sector 10, Inc.’s (SECT.OB) Patent Activity

Having already been recently issued Patent 7188846 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for a Mobile Safety Compliance Apparatus, Sector 10 is seeking additional patent protection in its current application with the publication number US2007/0278757.

Both the issued patent and pending patent application focus on creating a “portable health and safety compliance apparatus having compartments for storage, waste disposal, and a water system for cleaning, and washing.” The value added over the prior art essentially boils down to the notion that this all-in-one health maintaining device can 1) operate outdoors, and 2) be portable.

This patent activity strengthens Sector 10’s strategic position within the emerging sector of emergency-based, health-sustaining technologies. Market penetration in this area will likely grow in the next few years, particularly in light of the recent report conducted by the bipartisan Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferation and Terrorism. In this congressional report published in 2008, 250 experts in the domestic and foreign intelligence community unanimously stated that the world will witness a biological or nuclear attack by the year 2013 - the United States being in the top tier of countries likely to be targeted.

While no one hopes for such catastrophic events to take place, Sector 10 is positioning itself to significantly help sustain life in the midst of tragedy. In addition, it appears now that Sector 10 has already begun commercializing elements of its intellectual property through its Mobile Response Unit product line. Consequently, Sector 10 has the right to exclude others from making, using, or selling the claimed elements of its current patent portfolio up until June 2020.

QualityStocks will continue to monitor the patent activity of the aforementioned application, as well as monitor additional patent applications filings submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office by Sector 10.
