Moving to the AMEX

Postby roz_e123 » Mon Jul 21, 2008 10:24 am

Isn't moving from the BB to the AMEX suppossed to be a good thing? I always thought the move meant a stock was doing well enought to keep moving up.

This company, EVK formerly EVGY.BB, just listed on the AMEX and it seems their stock has just dropped. It wasn't that high to begin with however, hovering around 4.5-5 it's now at 4.2-4.3...well...might not be a big drop to you, however will it pull back up?

Ever Glory manufactures and sells clothing for men and women ranging from casual to sportswear. this listing might help them and perhaps this might just be an off day.

Last year they had revenues of $70.34 million (USD) and over the years they've seen a steady 30% increase in annual sales.

will it keep on rising? is it a good buy right now and just let it ride?

yes, but sometimes a stock gets ahead of itself. Everybody thinks its such a great thing, then when the excitement dies, people sell and the stock price goes down.

If they keep increaseing revenues and net income, all the while making the balance sheet stronger, then yes, it will continue to rise

interesting...thanks for the feedback. revenues have been increasing over time, i'm just wondering if you can make a real profit from this?

when you make a long term investment, how long is long?

long term is as long as you want it to be

10 years

5 years

20 years

They are all considered long term to me
