First Titan Corp. (FTTN) Eyeing Several Acquisition Targets, Issues Update on Louisiana Drilling Progress

First Titan Corp., a company engaged in the exploration and development of oil and natural gas resources around the world, today said it is exploring several potential acquisition opportunities that would expand its oil and gas portfolio and generate shareholder value.

The company continually seeks partnerships with energy developers that are pursuing new methods of oil and gas extraction, including the development of new technologies, cleaner methods, and unconventional resources. In line with this strategy, FTTN’s management team is considering strategic transactions that have the potential to serve as “an attractive avenue” to continue company growth and benefit the FTTN shareholders.

FTTN said that within the next 30 days it anticipates making an offer to acquire one or more of these potential oil and gas targets located in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Alabama, which are within the same geographic area as FTTN’s current operations.

As is standard, FTTN notes that any offers will be made contingent to completion of due diligence and required approvals from the target companies, among other conditions.

In addition, the company today said that it remains on track with its South Lake Charles Prospect in Louisiana, and that the company remains optimistic on the potential production from the well underway. Initial reserve estimates for the South Lake Charles well are approximated at 60 billion cubic feet of gas and 4 million barrels of oil.

As with real estate, much of the profit or loss is locked in at the time of evaluation and purchase.

First Titan Corp. (FTTN) Sees Significant Opportunity in Acquisition of Conventional Assets

While larger public exploration and production companies focus their resources on developing resource plays and selling conventional oil and gas assets, First Titan Corp. takes a different approach in building a substantial collection of oil and gas properties by focusing on parsed assets that provide opportunity for short-term gain.

Large oil and gas companies gain access to capital for drilling wells in resource plays such as the Eagle Ford Shale, Bakken, and Marcellus Shale, divesting conventional assets and redeploying the funds.

It is here that FTTN finds its opportunity. The company’s strategy is to acquire these high-quality assets that are being trimmed from larger company portfolios, as competition for these conventional assets are relatively low.

As private-equity firms scramble to build management teams to back-fill the lack of competition, FTTN has positioned itself to take advantage of the market and acquire producing and/or non-producing conventional assets that can be online within 60 days at more attractive economics.

FTTN is currently evaluating a high-potential acquisition in Hardin County, Texas, which includes several wells located on more than 4,100 leased acres. In the 1950s, after only one year in production, the target zone in the subject well was shut-in because of sand incursion, which could not be properly addressed utilizing the technology of the time.

With modern technology at hand, FTTN estimates potential production from the lease to exceed 10,000 barrels per day, if a productive zone found in one of the wells is discovered across the entire acreage play.

People forget that the U.S. is on the verge of re-taking the lead as the world's biggest oil-gas combined producer due to technological innovations that have opened up the potential of shale formations as a resource that wasn't available before. Energy imports have fallen significantly in recent years, reducing the U.S. trade deficit.

First Titan Corp. (FTTN) Provides Information on Lucrative New Acquisition Underway

After months of due diligence, First Titan Corp. is extremely close to acquiring a working interest in an area of immense production potential in Southeast Texas.

The targeted acquisition is located in Hardin County, Texas, and includes several wells located on over 4,100 leased acres. It possesses potential production from one zone that could potentially be across several wells and drastically increase production in the short term with relatively minimal capital. The zone, which was penetrated and produced in one identified wellbore was prematurely shut-in due to sand incursion. But given current advances in technology, FTTN believes the productive interval can be returned to its previous production rate of over 100 barrels a day.

“We’re excited by the prospect of securing such a large position,” stated FTTN CEO Harvey S. Bryant. “An acquisition like this will drastically change the outlook for the company and provide a great catalyst for continued growth.”

FTTN has assembled an impressive portfolio of projects featuring some of the best plays in Alabama, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. Drilling is currently ongoing at one of FTTN’s assets in Louisiana, the South Lake Charles Prospect.

First Titan Corp. (FTTN) has Strategic Asset Positioning Needed for Big Gains

First Titan Corp., an oil and natural gas exploration and development company, notes the U.S. Energy Information Association recently released a study documenting that the U.S. has 3% percent of the world’s natural gas reserves. The study also notes that almost 50% of that production is located in Texas and Louisiana, states in which First Titan has multiple assets. This strategic asset placement indicates First Titan’s promise of future growth.

One of First Titan’s current drilling locations is at South Lake Charles Prospect in Louisiana. This well will be drilled down to 15,300 feet, and has an estimated possible production value of 60 billion cubic feet of gas and four million barrels of oil to possibly be extracted. In Texas, First Titan is scouting 4,100 leased acres in Hardin County and has production assets situated in Terrell County and Waller County. According to figures from StateImpact, Texas accounts for 23% of the United States’ aggregate natural gas reserves and has 163 natural gas production plants within its borders.

Through its wholly owned subsidiary, First Titan, LLC, First Titan Corp. is aggressively looking for oil and natural gas exploration and development opportunities around the globe. For fullest operational effectiveness the company looks to partner with companies that are at the forefront of oil and natural gas extraction methods, including methods that are environmentally efficient, industry-defining, or unconventional.
